Karen Bagby named Employee of the Quarter
April 24, 2008 - The Attorney General's Office has a very efficient legislative section, and much of that is due to the professionalism and effectiveness of administrative assistant Karen Bagby. Attorney General Jay Nixon recently announced that Bagby was named Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2008.
Karen is responsible for coordinating legislative correspondence, including consumer matters, to ensure that legislators' constituent concerns are addressed; tracking legislation impacting the Attorney General's Office; handling fiscal note requests for the office; coordinating Sunshine inquiries into the office; and organizing and scheduling moot courts to prepare attorneys for oral arguments. Nixon said Karen knows the legislative process extremely well and ensures the legislative staff is aware of upcoming hearings, proposed amendments, committee substitutes and floor substitutes that may have a fiscal impact.
Bagby has been with the AGO since 2003.
